At the invitation of our school, Professor Nagarajan Valanoor and Dr. Zhang Qi of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, University of New South Wales, Australia, recently visited the school to give lectures. On the afternoon of April 24, the school held a welcoming ceremony. Vice President Jiang Tao met with the guests, and the responsible persons of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, the Science and Technology Department, and the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering took part in the meeting.
Jiang Tao welcomed the visit of Professor Valanoor and his party and briefed Professor Valanoor on the basic situation of our school. Jiang Tao said that Professor Valanoor's visit would further enhance the academic reputation and international influence of our university, and hoped that Professor Valanoor would often return to Hubei University to give lectures and promote international academic exchanges and cooperation between the two universities. Professor Valanoor expressed his gratitude for the invitation and warm reception of the school and expressed his willingness to make efforts for the cooperation and exchange between the two sides.
After the meeting, Professor Valanoor gave an academic report named "Topological effects in thin film ferroelectrics" for the teachers and students of the school, and shared his advanced achievements in the field of ferroelectric materials over the past years, which was warmly welcomed by the teachers and students.
